Roar With Tigers At Mantianak Botanical Garden & Zoological Park
10:56 AM
Have you seen a
tiger, huge snake, alligator, wild boar, monkey, alligator, deer, Australian goat,
various kinds of birds or perhaps a crocodile? These are some of the
attractions at Mantianak Botanical Garden & Zoological Park.
Recently my
family had a chance to visit this place. Located in Sugbongcogon Misamis
Oriental, Mantianak Botanical Garden & Zoological Park is the newest
eco-tourism site in the province. The park is owned and managed by the local
government unit. It will take you approximately 1 hour & 30 minutes drive to
arrive in this place from Cagayan de Oro City. Entrance fee is only Php100.00
with a tour guide.
After we had
paid the entrance fee, a tour guide accompanied us. While in the ground, the
tour guide gave us feeds to be fed to the birds (although we have not seen any
bird) and that we will just put the same in our palms. Then she clapped her
hands and suddenly doves were coming to us and started feeding themselves in
our palms. You will be tickled while they were picking the feeds in your palms.
At first my kids were hesitant (afraid) but later on they were able to conquer their
fears.
Then for the first time, we have seen tigers. The tigers, as the main attraction of the zoo, are basically the main reason why many people came to this place. You will be prohibited to go nearer to the cage but my family can’t help and took pictures with them.
My kids were able
to ride this australian goat.
These are some of
the memorable moments in the park.
I can say that Mantianak Botanical Garden & Zoological Park is a good venue for family to commune with nature and also for educational tours specially children. They have also rooms where you can stay overnight at a very affordable price.
