Sunset At The Beach
8:09 PM
One
afternoon after we fetched our kids from school, we decided to spend time with my family at the beach and to watch the sunset. We just
brought the available food at home like my favorite camote, biscuits,
rice and one viand. We also brought mat, utensils, playground
bluetooth speaker, ice bucket and pocket WiFi.
We
did not inform our kids that we will be going to the beach but they
were surprised because we had those things inside the car. We just
told them that we were going to visit a place. Along the way we
bought softdrinks, this made them very curious. When we made a right
turn going to Apple Tree Hotel, they were very happy because they
thought they will be swimming in the pool but we told them the
opposite. We told them that we will be going to Marvilla Beach Resort
just to spend family time and to watch the sunset.
Not
long after we arrived at Marvilla Beach Resort. It is located in
Opol, Misamis Oriental, few minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City.
For only Php60.00 entrance fee (Adults =Php20.00 / Kids =Php10.00)
were able to get inside the resort.
We
did not rent for a cottage because we don't have enough budget. We
just placed the mat in the white sand together with other things. The
mat was just enough for us.
While
waiting for the sunset, we had the pleasure of talking with each
other, sharing ideas, eating and taking pictures.
During
our conversation I told my kids what sunset represent in our life.
Sunsets
are among the magnificent examples of the wonder of nature. It
always happened at the end of every single day. Sunsets aren’t just
a feast for the eyes. When we spend few minute gazing at the sky or
the distant horizon, it will remind us how vast the universe is and
how beautiful God's creation is. A reminder that our problems aren’t
so big after all. It represents life, we might have sunsets in our
lives but we should always have the courage to face them because
another beautiful day awaits. Whatever problems or troubles we have,
we should not delve too much on it because everything has an end and
we have so many things to be grateful - like our family, loveones and
friends.
Few
minutes later, we started to see the beauty of the sunset. It reminds
me of Mahatma Gandhi when he said, “When I admire the wonders of a
sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of
the creator.”
More
than that, we had a great time with my family that we haven't noticed
its already evening. I'm sharing this to you because you too can
appreciate the beauty of sunset and spend time with your family with
minimal amount involved.
In our busy lives, we often forget to appreciate its beauty. How about you? When was the last time you stopped and took a few minutes to appreciate the sunset?
