The 15-year-old Filipina, Marlisa Punzalan, has secured a spot in the grand finals of Australia’s “The X Factor”.

Punzalan was one of two contestants who garnered the least number of votes after Sunday's performance show, along with Reigan Derry. On their final showdown, Punzalan sang The Beatles' "Help," while Derry performed Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." Judges had to pick who they thought more deserving to advance to the grand finals.

As votes resulted in a tie, the contestant advancing to the grand finals was based on the public votes. It was revealed that Derry got the least number of votes, sending Punzalan into the grand finals. Let us continue our support to her.
